Keeping Safe in the Summer Sun
Summer Sun and Heat Safety
In recognition of Skin Cancer Awareness Month, Concentra Urgent Care, a Well City Milwaukee member, has compiled a list of sun safety tips to help workers avoid sunburns and prevent skin cancer. And while they are able to treat many sun- and heat-related injuries, they prefer to prevent injuries through education and awareness.
June is also the start of summer, which means more time spent outdoors in the heat. Prolonged exposure to excessive heat can lead to serious health risks including heat exhaustion, dehydration, and stroke. To help keep workers safe while being active in the summer heat, Concentra also presents a list of heat safety tips. Please print these out and make them available to employees who may be soaking up the summer sun.
